ACTING PRESIDENT OF NDU PAYS MAIDEN VISIT TO GAFCSC

The Acting President of the National Defence University (NDU), Air Vice Marshal Felix Adom Asante, paid a maiden visit to the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) at Teshie Otu Barracks. The visit aimed to familiarise him with the College's developmental progress and enhance understanding of the operationalisation process of the NDU's mandate.

He was given an in-depth briefing on the background of the College, academic programmes, challenges and the way forward was given to Air Vice Marshal Felix Adom Asante.

The Acting Commandant, Brigadier General Jackson Wonje, who received the Acting President of NDU and his entourage, expressed his appreciation for Air Vice Marshal Asante's tireless efforts, dedication and determination in addressing the initial challenges of the NDU since his assumption of office.

Brig Gen Wonje mentioned that the visit was important in the ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration and improve synergy in the operationalisation of NDU. He referenced the Acting President on the pivotal role GAFCSC played in establishing NDU and hoped that the visit would yield an opportunity for the College to work together with NDU to achieve a shared objective.

The Acting President of the National Defence University, Air Vice Marshal Asante, thanked the Acting Commandant for the warm reception to him and his entourage. He mentioned that his presence at the College was to understand the concepts the College had for the NDU. He stated that NDU is a supervisory University to the constituent colleges, including the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College.

Air Vice Marshal Asante assured the Acting Commandant of his efforts to help improve the academic and administrative facilities of the College.
