GAFCSC DELEGATION PAYS CORTESY CALL ON  NPA CEO

A four-member delegation from the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), led by the Director Corporate Affairs (DCA),Colonel(Col) Bernard Baah-Acheamfour, accompanied by the Chief Instructor, Navy Faculty of GAFCSC, Capt(GN) Tenzi, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr Godwin Kudzo Tameklo on Thursday, 4 June 2026. The visit was aimed at briefing the Authority on the College's forthcoming 50th Anniversary Celebration and exploring areas of collaboration towards the successful commemoration of the milestone.

During the meeting, the Director Corporate Affairs, Col Baah-Acheamfour, highlighted the significance of the 50th anniversary celebration and took the CEO through the programme of activities lined up for the anniversary. He acknowledged the longstanding relationship between GAFCSC and the NPA and emphasized the importance of strengthening the collaboration between the two institutions.

The CEO of NPA, Mr Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, warmly welcomed the delegation and commended GAFCSC for its contribution to professional military education and national development. He highlighted the strong partnership between the Authority and the Ghana Navy, particularly the Navy's role in supporting efforts to curb the smuggling of petroleum products along Ghana's maritime domain. He noted that the collaboration had contributed significantly to the Authority's mandate and reflected the cordial relationship that exists between the institutions. The CEO assured the delegation of the Authority's support towards the College's 50th Anniversary Celebration, urged both institutions to sustain their existing partnership, and congratulated GAFCSC on attaining the significant milestone.

The Director Corporate Affairs of GAFCSC expressed appreciation to the CEO for the warm reception and assurance of support towards the anniversary celebration. He further extended an invitation to the management and staff of the NPA to participate in the anniversary activities. He also used the opportunity to highlight the postgraduate programmes (Masters in Defence and International Politics, Masters in Security Studies and PhD in Defence and International Politics) offered by GAFCSC and encouraged interested personnel of the Authority to take advantage of the College's postgraduate programmes for professional and academic development. The visit ended with a group photograph.
