The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) held a seminar for students of the Senior Command and Staff Course 47, Master of Science in Security Studies (MSS) and Master of Science in Defence and International Politics (MDIP), external participants from other security services, government agencies, and the media on Tuesday, 21st April, 2026 at the Hamidu Hall in Teshie, as part of the Foreign Policy and International Diplomacy module.

The seminar, dubbed "Foreign Policy of Western Nations and Its Impact on Africa," saw 98 participants, of which 64 were from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), 26 from allied armed forces, and 8 from other security services and government agencies.

The Commandant of GAFCSC, Major General (Maj. Gen) Jackson Wonje, welcomed the panelists and thanked them for honoring the College's invitation to participate in the seminar.

The seminar, which was highly interactive was chaired by the Senior Research fellow, Ambassador Lawrence Roland Satuh. The panelists included, the Head of Security Cooperation/Upstream Threats Team at British High Commission,Mr David Gale, the Acting Deputy Chief of Mission and Political Counselor in the USA, Rabia Qureshi and Senior Research fellow at Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECAID), Dr Linda Darkwa.
The Commandant, Major General Jackson Wonje once again expressed his gratitude to the panelists for honoring the College's invitation and for sharing their valuable knowledge and experience with the participants. He presented plaques to the panelists as a symbolic gesture of appreciation for their contributions to the seminar.
