The National President, Reverend (Rev) Ghana Naval Captain Capt (GN) Douglas Yaw Akotey, accompanied by the Burma Camp President, Very Reverend Commander David Benedict Quayeson from Ghana Military Christian Fellowship, donated Holy Bibles and devotional guides (Our Daily Bread) to the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, at the Fletcher Mess in Teshie, Otu Barracks.
Speaking on behalf of the Ghana Military Christian Fellowship, the National President, Reverend(Rev) Ghana Naval Captain Capt (GN) Douglas Yaw Akotey, emphasized that, as part of the fellowship's responsibility to Command and with approval from Higher Headquarters, the Fellowship is tasked to help build the spiritual well-being of all personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). He also indicated that the Holy Bibles are meant for every duty post, while the devotional guides (Our Daily Bread) are for all personnel and students undertaking courses at the College.
Rev Capt (GN) Adotey also used the opportunity to introduce their meeting days and personally invited the College community for their upcoming meeting on Thursday at Garrison Methodist Presby Church,Burma Camp. He further thanked the Commandant of GAFCSC, Major General (Maj Gen) Jackson Wonje, and his entourage for the warm reception.
In his acceptance remarks, the Commandant, Major General (Maj Gen) Jackson Wonje, who received the items on behalf of the GAFCSC, thanked them for the thoughtful gesture. He mentioned that the items would go a long way in building the spiritual well-being of personnel and students of the College.
Maj Gen Wonje also assured them that the distribution would be carried out fairly and also promised them of the proper use of the donated items.
